For March, we will paint a Tiger on the Savannah. Here the outline for you to print, and the reference photo.
It’s best to print onto 8.5 x 11 watercolor or mixed media paper (If your watercolor paper is too large, you can cut it down). A second option is to layer a blank piece of watercolor paper over the image, hold them both up on a bright window, and trace onto the watercolor paper. Please have your image ready, your watercolors, a fine tip brush and a thicker brush, a Micron fine tip pen, a few paper towels, and a cup of water ready to go when the class begins. If you'd like a border around your final painting, you can use masking tape or blue painters tape to achieve this look like Mrs. Chaplin.
Please remember that this event is very popular and many students want to get the most of the hour. We'd like to gently remind each participant to remain muted unless called upon and to keep questions/comments/emojis respectful and relevant. Questions about color mixing, brush size, and technique are okay, but we'd like to avoid extra questions and comments that divert the teacher's focus. When Mrs. Chaplin is inundated with questions, it becomes difficult for her to teach everyone. We want everyone to have a wonderful experience! Thank you for understanding.
See you then!

The Peerless Watercolors Mrs. Chaplin uses can be found here. You can use any watercolors you'd like, though!
