Explore & Grow: Bears

ENRICHING EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP RESOURCE

Illustrated forest scene of a brown bear walking along a sunlit woodland path surrounded by tall trees and greenery. Large white text reads “Bears.” At the bottom, text says “Explore & Grow Field Trips with Braintree – Enriching Educational Resource.”

Explore & Grow: Yellowstone Bear World Turn your visit into a rich learning adventure! This print-and-go packet guides students through real-world observation and reflection at Yellowstone Bear World, then extends the learning with cross-curricular writing and science tasks. Kids will count and sketch bears they see, compare black bears and grizzlies, build a simple food chain, and consider conservation, human impact, and even cultural symbolism. It’s perfect for before, during, or after your field trip—and just as useful in the classroom.

What’s inside (highlights)

  • Bear count/field sketches and descriptive adjectives

  • Black bear vs. grizzly comparison writing

  • Food chain drawing & habitat needs check

  • Short essay on captive vs. wild behavior

  • Conservation, human impact, and symbolism prompts

Print the pages you need by grade band (K–8), bring clipboards for onsite notes, and finish with reflection or research back in class.

How to use Print the pages you want, choose prompts by age/grade, and share student creations with your learning community.
