Remembering September 11th: Learning Together

Remembering September 11th: Learning Together

September 11, 2001, is a day our country will never forget. For many of our Braintree Academy students, this is a piece of history they did not live through, but one that continues to shape the world around us. As a learning community, it is important that we honor the lives lost, recognize the heroes, and reflect on the lessons of unity and resilience.

We’ve gathered a collection of meaningful resources for families to explore together. These tools are designed to help children of all ages understand 9/11 at an age-appropriate level, while encouraging reflection, creativity, and critical thinking.

Why We Learn About 9/11

By learning about 9/11, students not only discover an important part of American history but also reflect on values such as courage, service, and unity. These lessons remind us that, even in difficult times, people can come together to help one another.

As Braintree Academy families, let’s use these resources to start meaningful conversations, encourage thoughtful reflection, and inspire our students to honor everyday heroes in their own communities.
