Join us for an enlightening experience as Preservation Idaho's highly knowledgeable and experienced docents take us on a captivating journey through 150 years of rich history and stunning architecture while we stroll through the vibrant streets of Boise.

Our exploration will be much more than a simple walk; we will engage in an informative dialogue about the historical significance of various landmarks and buildings, all through the insightful perspective of our expert guides. The tours start and end at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center on Grove Street in downtown Boise, between 6th Street and Capitol Blvd.

Parking is available at a paid lot or a paid parking garage on either side of the Basque Block. Alternatively, you may be able to find free parking on nearby blocks. Please be 10-15 minutes early as tours begin promptly. Wear comfy walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water!

Who: All Braintree Academy IHLA students, as well a parents and siblings under 5. Please note that any siblings or additional parents are considered guests for this event and need to be paid for.

Cost:  Free for all Braintree Academy IHLA students and one parent. 

Additional parents, guests and younger sibling fee is $6. All guest payments must be made by 3/1/2026 via Square (link will be sent in confirmation email). 

Please note that we will not be collecting cash at the event—payments must be made using the payment link provided in your confirmation email.

We have a no-refunds policy for guest fees. If a medical emergency affects your guest’s attendance, please reach out, and we will do our best to apply the fee toward a future event.

Additional Guests:

** If this event is not full 5-7 days before the event, the Event Coordinator may open the event up to additional guests. You can reach out to the Event Coordinator via email to include guests at that time.

Treasure Valley:

Please choose one event in your area to allow other students to attend. If there are still spots available 5-7 days before the event, families may sign up for additional events.
