Who: All Braintree Academy students are encouraged to participate!

How to Participate

Step 1: Register

Students must register through this event page to be eligible for Round 1, the online spelling test.

Step 2: Online Spelling Test

Students complete an online spelling test through Power Spelling. Top scorers from each division will advance to the live virtual spelling bee.

Step 3: Live Virtual Spelling Bee

Advancing students compete in the live spelling bee on Zoom.

How Students Prepare

After registering, students will receive login instructions for the online spelling test.

How to Win

During the live Virtual Spelling Bee, the competitors will be given words to spell, this continues until one student remains in each division.

The final winner will be crowned Spelling Bee Champion and recognized for their amazing achievement!

When: April 5–19

Students may complete the Power Spelling online test once at any time during this window.

Students who advance will receive live virtual spelling bee details and their competition time by email.

May 4

Grades 1–2: 9am PT / 10am MT / 11am CT / 12pm ET

Grades 3–4: 10am PT / 11am MT / 12pm CT / 1pm ET

May 5

Grades 5–6: 9am PT / 10am MT / 11am CT / 12pm ET

Grades 7–8: 10am PT / 11am MT / 12pm CT / 1pm ET
