⚾ South Bend Cubs Reading Program | Grades K-8
Read your way to the ballpark! Indiana students who complete Swoop and Stu’s Reading Club become Homerun Hitters and earn a FREE ticket to a South Bend Cubs game at Four Winds Field. This special reading program is offered by the South Bend Cubs.
Who may participate? All K-8 Braintree Academy Students

Instructions: Our instructionis are a little different because of the virtual nature of our program. Parent's will sign the coupons for their student(s) as they complete each week's goal. Once all goals are complete, please submit the "Let's Play" section on page 2 to the form linked below to receive information for the free student ticket (The Virtual Events Braintree Team will be sending that information).
STEPS to Participate:
Download and print the Reading Booklet.
Complete all 4 reading goals. Once 1 week is complete the child can earn the corresponding week's coupoin found on page 4.
Have a parent sign the completed Let's Play page (can be signed anywhere).
Come back here and submit a photo of the "Let's Play" page using THIS FORM.
Receive instructions for redeeming your free ticket (The Braintree team will be receiving these instructions 2 weeks before the game day).
Ticket Details
Each qualifying student earns one free ticket to the May 8th game.
Discounted family tickets are available for $12 per person and can be purchased using the same link as the student ticket.
All tickets must be claimed by May 6. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and may sell out.
If the May 6 deadline is missed, families may contact the South Bend Cubs directly for ticket availability. (Contact information found in the Parent Letter)
🧢 Game Night Celebration!
When: Friday, May 8
Student Recognition at 6:00 pm EST
Game begins at 7:05 pm EST
Students who complete the Home Run Hitters program will be recognized on the field before the game.
Plan to arrive at Four Winds Field by 6:00 pm EST so your student can line up and be ready for on-field recognition at 6:15 pm. This is a special moment to celebrate their hard work and achievement, and late arrivals may miss the opportunity to participate.
We are excited to celebrate our Homerun Hitters. Have fun at the game!
