Braintree Academy is a tuition-free, virtual PreK-10 school serving families across Oklahoma.
We provide a tuition-free state-aligned academic foundation—while giving you the freedom to choose online and/or offline learning materials that fit your child's unique needs and interests.
With flexible scheduling, supplemental learning funds ($1,900 equivalent) for educational expenses, free field trips, and support from Oklahoma-certified teachers, you’ll have the structure, resources, and encouragement you need to help your student thrive.
Students are registered as full-time public school students with our Indiana partner, Norman Public Schools.

We support a blend of online and hands-on experiences, giving your family the flexibility to learn in a way that works best for you.
Build a customized learning experience with a blend of optional live online classes, independent study classes, or a portfolio-based approach (submit work samples from provided curriculum or supplemental learning materials).
Free Monthly Field Trips
Learning comes to life with free field trips across Oklahoma! From museums to parks and local attractions, your family can explore, learn, and make memories together.
With locations across the state, it’s easy to connect with other families near you and build lasting friendships.
Virtual Exploration
For added flexibility, we also offer virtual field trips that allow students to explore global landmarks, scientific concepts, language-based story times, interactive art, and so much more, all from the comfort of your home.
Peer-to-Peer Socialization
These events are specifically designed to help students build meaningful friendships and social skills in a safe, supportive environment.
Supplemental Learning Funds ($1,900 equivalent) are provided by Braintree Academy to support your student's educational journey. These funds can be used toward learning materials, classes and clubs, some extracurricular opportunities, and other approved educational resources; helping you create a customized learning experience that fits your student's needs.
Technology and Internet Support
Funds can be applied toward essential technology items and internet service to facilitate a seamless learning environment at home.
Essential School Supplies
Families can utilize funds to provide necessary school supplies, ensuring students have every tool required for academic success.
Extracurricular and Social Growth
Funds can be used for a wide range of classes, clubs, and some extracurricular activities tailored to your child’s interests, from Braintree Academy or your local community.
Simplified Direct Ordering
Braintree Academy offers direct order options to make acquiring these resources as straightforward as possible for families.
Program Expectations
When registered in our program, you partner with your certified teacher to create a personalized semester learning plan tailored to your student's schedule and interests, classes, and preferred learning materials.
K–8 students are registered into 4 core classes and 2 electives, while high school students take 7 classes.
Stay involved in your child’s daily learning by helping them complete and submit work samples on time.
Stay connected with your child's teacher, ask for support when needed, and continue working toward completing learning goals. Regular communication with your certified homeroom teacher helps ensure your child stays supported and on track.
Once your child has a personalized schedule, your family will continue the year by completing assignments, attending classes, meeting attendance requirements, completing testing, staying in communication with program staff, and enjoying your learning journey!

You can choose optional real-time classes or flexible independent learning classes, online or offline, depending on what works best for your student.
Interactive Virtual Clubs
Learning is more fun together. Students can join live virtual clubs like STEM, crafts, art, cooking and book clubs — connecting with other Braintree students across Indiana who share similar interests. These engaging clubs give your child a chance to build friendships, grow in confidence, and explore new passions.

9-10th High School
Your high school student deserves both flexibility and strong academic support. Our 9th–10th grade program combines a standards-aligned comprehensive curriculum with caring, Indiana-certified teachers who are there to guide, support, and encourage every step of the way.
With opportunities like learning at their own pace, dual enrollment, and engaging virtual clubs, your student can grow academically while staying connected and confident.
As your student continues their educational journey, we hope to expand our program to include 11th grade by fall 2027 and 12th grade by fall 2028.
