Calling all of our voracious Southern Idaho readers grades K-6th! It's time for the 2026 Roaring Reader Program! The goal of this program is to help students understand goal setting and to encourage recreational reading with a fun reward-  a FREE day ticket to Roaring Springs Waterpark (Located in MERIDIAN, IDAHO).

Who may participate? All K-6 students currently enrolled in Braintree Academy are eligible and encouraged to participate!*

*Roaring Springs water park is located in Meridian, Idaho. We have a reading program for Northern Idaho as well, Read 2 Ride.

STEPS to Participate:

1. Print and fill out this Roaring Readers Reading Log to record your student's recreational reading minutes

2. Once completed, return here to submit an entry by using this form: Roaring Readers 2026 - The deadline to submit reading logs is March 27, 2026

Please note, this contest is hosted by Roaring Springs water park. Braintree Academy Events Team will be submitting entries from our form to the Roaring Springs website on behalf of our families.

All Reading Program Details:

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

-Student must be in K-6th grade and enrolled in Braintree Academy for the 2025-2026 school year.

-Download this READING LOG for your student to record their recreational reading minutes on. 

-When filling it out, put your IHLA homeroom teacher's name in the spot designated for "Teacher's Name." 

-Students must read for fun and log their minutes on the Reading Log. Students can read anything they choose for the Roaring Readers program; books, magazines, newspapers, comics, etc. They cannot count any reading that is done to complete homework or school assignments.

-Students in K-4th must complete 600 recreational reading minutes. 

-Students in 5th-6th must complete 800 recreational reading minutes.

-Reading logs will need to be uploaded to this Google form by Friday March 27, 2026.  

-If you have multiple students participating, you'll need to fill out this form and upload a Reading Log for each individual student.

-Please refer to this Google form as the official rules and guidelines.

THE PRIZE 

Each student in K-4 who completes 600 minutes, and each student in grades 5-6 who completes 800 minutes of recreational reading from now until 3/27/26 , will earn one Roaring Reader ticket for Roaring Springs Waterpark in Meridian, Idaho. The free ticket is valid from May 9, 2026 - July 4, 2026 for one FREE Full Day Admission ($54.99 value). From July 5, 2026 - September 26, 2026, an unused discount code will be valid for Buy One, Get One Free Full Day Admission tickets ($54.99 value). Discount codes must be redeemed online or at the ticketing office. BOGO offer cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion, including but not limited to: any Daily Special, PM Plunge, Night Slides, Private Events, After School Splash, or Last Splash Weekends. Tickets can only be used during the designated season. Tickets cannot be used for group events or school outings. Unused tickets cannot be exchanged or transferred to future seasons. Tickets are not for resale and are non-transferable. They may only be used by the individual who earned them. Students may not enroll in Roaring Readers through multiple schools/programs.

- Please do not email the completed reading logs to your student's homeroom teacher. Return to this Google form and upload it below.

- Roaring Springs can only reward one ticket to each participating student (even if they complete more than the required minutes).

- Only students enrolled and attending Braintree Academy/IHLA in grades K-6 are eligible to participate.
