In the anchor ELA classes, students will write from the three genres (argumentative, narrative, and expository). They will also read and respond to articles and stories. Each new concept builds on the previous concepts. The resources shared are all free and linked in the anchor guide.

Anchor classes are asynchronous, teacher-led classes. Students do NOT have a live meeting. Daily work is provided, and the anchor teacher grades the final weekly assignment. Teachers provide biweekly videos and add instructional supports to each day's lesson. For more information about the curriculum and assignments, please visit the Braintree website. 

Anchor classes are available year-round. Students who request mid-semester will have their anchor class added to the LMS on Mondays.
