Anchor 8th Grade Integrated Science (IN/OK)

Class Fees are $10 or 100 points per semester.

This class provides an opportunity to explore many different science principles from different disciplines. Students will explore ideas from chemistry, physics, earth science and life science. 

Students will work through 3 units a semester. Each unit will cover 4 weeks. A few weeks will require common household items. A materials list will be provided in week one of the class.

The class follows a consistent pattern.

• Week 1: Explore a phenomenon in the world around us.

• Week 2: Learn scientific principles that will help us explain that phenomenon.

• Week 3: Learn more scientific principles and practice explaining things we see.

• Week 4: Explain the phenomenon using knowledge we have been learning.
