Class Details:
This ELA course utilizes the IXL curriculum to help students become strong, proficient readers, writers, and thinkers. Through a blend of stories, informational texts, and interactive lessons, students will learn to communicate their ideas clearly by supporting their opinions through writing, develop narrative stories with descriptive details and a clear sequence of events, and use proper sentence structure. They will also be able to gather information by researching different sources to present their findings. Students will focus on building reading skills by identifying main ideas and supporting details, explaining central ideas and character actions, and recognizing first- and third-person point of view.
Cost: $200 per year (charged $100 per semester) - or 20000 points (charged 10000 points per semester) - which comes from the student's supplemental learning fund credit. Live class enrollments are for the FULL year, even though you are charged by semester.
