Grades: 6-8

Students in Canopy Climbers Writers Grove classes will:

• Develop, write, and present strong 5-paragraph essays with a thesis and solid content.

• Write arguments that include claims, evidence, a keen understanding, and a concluding section.

• Write informational essays that include an introduction to a topic, development of facts, definitions, concrete details, and quotations.

• Write narratives using narrative techniques such as description, dialogue, pacing, precise words, and transitional words and phrases.

$100 per year (charged $50 per semester) - or 10000 points (charged 5000 points per semester), which comes from the student's supplemental learning fund credit.
