This class introduces young artists to the exciting world of clay! Students will explore beginning ceramic techniques, including basic handbuilding methods, while creating their own unique works of art. They’ll learn how to work with air-dry clay, exploring the process of building, decorating, and sealing their creations without the need for a kiln. Throughout the course, students will join me virtually in my home studio for a behind-the-scenes look at how a ceramic studio operates and how mid-fire stoneware pieces are made from start to finish.
