MI Write is a web-based automated writing evaluation (AWE) program developed by Measurement Incorporated, designed to support students in grades 3–12 in improving their writing skills through practice, immediate feedback, and guided instructional support.   Grade-Level Coverage Grades 3–5: Introduces students to structured writing practices, offering prompts and feedback to develop foundational writing skills. Grades 6–8: Focuses on enhancing writing proficiency with more complex assignments, encouraging critical thinking and advanced composition techniques. Grades 9–12: Prepares students for college-level writing, emphasizing analytical writing, argumentation, and research-based assignments.   Key Features Automated Feedback: Provides instant scores and detailed feedback aligned with the 6+1 Trait® Writing Model, covering ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, conventions, and presentation.  Interactive Lessons: Offers a library of lessons targeting specific writing skills, allowing students to work on areas needing improvement. Pre-Writing Tools: Includes graphic organizers and planning tools to help students organize their thoughts before drafting. Peer Review: Facilitates peer-to-peer feedback, enabling students to critique and learn from each other's writing. Teacher/Family Integration: Allows educators to create custom prompts, provide personalized feedback, and monitor student progress through detailed reports.  Differentiation and Accessibility: Supports diverse learning needs with adjustable scoring levels, customizable prompts, and accessibility features like adaptable font sizes and background colors.
