Touch-Type, Read and Spell

ELA 2nd+

Touch-Type Read and Spell (TTRS) is a structured, multi-sensory program designed to teach touch-typing while simultaneously enhancing reading and spelling skills. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with dyslexia, ADHD, dyspraxia, and other learning differences, but is also suitable for learners of all abilities.   Grade-Level Coverage Ages 7 and up: TTRS is appropriate for students from elementary through high school.   Key Features Modular Design: The course consists of 24 levels, each containing 31 modules, totaling over 4,500 words. Modules are brief, typically taking a few minutes to complete, and focus on accuracy over speed.  Multi-Sensory Approach: TTRS employs a combination of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning. Students see words on the screen, hear them spoken aloud, and type them, reinforcing learning through multiple senses.  Phonics-Based Instruction: The program integrates phonics instruction, beginning with vowel sounds and progressing to more complex word structures, supporting reading and spelling development. Customizable Content: Educators and parents can create custom lessons and  tailoring the program to individual learning needs.  Progress Tracking: TTRS provides detailed reporting features, allowing users to monitor progress and identify areas needing improvement.  Accessibility: The program is designed to be accessible, with adjustable settings to accommodate various learning and sensory needs. It can be accessed online via web browsers and also offers an iPad app for learning on the go.   Student success is encouraged by immediate feedback and positive reinforcement. This feedback includes a score that is based on completion rates and accuracy, not speed or time taken. Learners can earn points toward trophies and certificates.   NOTE: Since this is a school account, the personalized spelling feature isn’t available for student use, and we’re unable to provide teacher accounts to parents. If you’re interested in these additional features, you’re welcome to purchase a personal subscription directly. Please consider visiting the website and requesting a demo to see if it will be a good fit for your student.
