Get ready to dive into an epic adventure at our Awesome BIG fall event at Vertical View! Students will have an incredible opportunity to rock climb, experience bouldering (a thrilling form of free rock climbing), and enjoy access to the yoga space and other fantastic facilities. Don't miss out! Students can join this event on their own, as long as we have a Drop-Off Waiver on file (see below). Parents, you can jump in on the fun too- You can attend as observers or become a Belay person by completing the training (see question area). Check-in kicks off at 9:30 a.m. so students can gear up. Climbing action starts at 10:00 a.m. and goes strong until 12:30 p.m. If students are dropped off, parents should be ready to pick them up by 12:30 p.m. Remember, all climbers and guests MUST complete the Vertical View Facility Waiver (even if you’ve done it before). Who:

• Braintree Academy IHLA High School Students [9th-12th graders].

• One parent can attend to observe or volunteer to belay, but will not have a climbing spot during the event, to ensure enough spots are available to our students. PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS ATTENDING.

• Parent observers and/or Belayers will be counted separately (please note in the notes section of the questions whether you will be staying to observe or belay).

Cost: 

• Free to IHLA Braintree High School Students.

• Parents can volunteer for Belay spots and have the cost of the class (day 1), practice day/test day (day 2), which includes their day pass ticket and a guest ticket to practice their skills, and the testing for Belay certification: all of this will be free to volunteer Belay parents/school staff. If parent volunteers have received a Belay certification before, they are welcome to just do the "day 2" part of the training (practice with a guest climber and testing). Please indicate in the question section if you are interested in a Belay spot for the adults.

• GUESTS: High school-aged guests of students may be able to attend if we have available spots (Please make sure you indicate that you are interested in guest spots in the question section of the sign up, so that we can reach out to you if spots are available about a week before the event) Guests fee is $25/climber (includes gear rental). All guest payments must be made by  Nov. 12th, 2025. 

• We have a no-refunds policy for guest fees. If a medical emergency affects your guest’s attendance, please reach out, and we will do our best to apply the fee toward a future event.
