Join us for a special tour of the 3rd Avenue Marketplace, a food drive, and a Vendor Fair. The vendor fair will showcase our Braintree entrepreneurs. This event aims to raise awareness about hunger and the vital role that food banks play in supporting those in need.
The Marketplace
The 3rd Avenue Marketplace works to enrich the lives of Kootenai County residents through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services.
Food Bank Tour
Participants will have the chance to visit our local food bank, where they will learn about the operations and the impact of food assistance programs. Guided by knowledgeable staff members, attendees will gain firsthand experience of how food banks function, including the processes of sorting, packing, and distributing food to those in need. This educational experience is designed to deepen understanding and empathy towards individuals facing food challenges in our community. This experience provides valuable insights into the importance of food security in our community.
Food Drive
Help us support the Marketplace by actively participating in our initiative to collect food items. Leading up to the event, we encourage students, families, and community members to gather vital non-perishable food items. Non-perishable items include canned goods, pasta, rice, dried beans, and other shelf-stable foods that can provide essential nutrition. Our goal is to create a sense of community and solidarity, where everyone can play a role in addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity that affects many families in our area. Drop-off of all items will the day of the event at the 3rd Street Marketplace, making it convenient for everyone to participate. By participating in this initiative, you not only help alleviate hunger in our community but also foster a spirit of compassion and cooperation among students, faculty, and community members.
Holiday Market
The Holiday Market will feature a diverse array of booths, showcasing handmade crafts, delicious food items, and innovative services provided by some of our talented Braintree student vendors. Highlighting the creativity and hard work of our students and allowing attendees to engage with the vendors, making it a lively and enjoyable experience for all. Please spread the word! Share our flyer and encourage your family and friends to visit the vendor fair between 10am and 1pm!
