Calling all of our voracious Northern Idaho readers grades K-6th! Silverwood Theme Park is offering its Read 2 Ride Challenge again! This year's theme is "UNLOCK THE MAGIC OF READING" The goal is to encourage and promote a lifelong love of reading while also rewarding students with a FREE ticket to Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho.
Who may enter? All K-6 students currently registered in Braintree Academy are eligible and encouraged to participate!*
*Silverwood Theme Park is located in Athol, Idaho. We have a reading program for the Treasure Valley area as well, Roaring Readers.
Steps to Participate: First Log your student's reading minutes with the provided reading log.
Next Return here to submit an entry, by using this form: Read 2 Ride 2026. Reading logs will need to be uploaded to this Google form by MARCH 31, 2026.
Please note, this contest is hosted by Silverwood Theme Park. Braintree Academy Events Team will be submitting entries from our form to the Silverwood website on behalf of our IHLA Braintree students in grades K-6th (details contained in the form linked above).

Reading Program Details:
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
-Student must be in K-6th grade and registered in Braintree Academy for the 2025-2026 school year.
-Download this READING LOG for your student to record their recreational reading minutes on. Silverwood has also provided a suggested reading list.
-Students can read anything they choose for the Read 2 Ride program; books, magazines, newspapers, comics, etc. They cannot count any reading that is done to complete homework or school assignments. Reading on social media cannot be counted either.
-The Read 2 Ride program accepts all forms of reading (reading independently, being read to by
an adult, reading out loud to someone else, and/or listening to an audiobook).
-Every participating student must read and log 10 hours (600 minutes).
-Reading logs will need to be uploaded to this Google form by MARCH 31, 2026.
-If you have multiple students participating, you'll need to fill out this form and upload a Reading Log for each individual student.

THE PRIZE
Each qualifying student participant will receive a FREE Read 2 Ride ticket to Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho. The ticket will be valid for any day during the 2026 Silverwood season, except for these eight blackout dates: 7/18, 7/25, 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/29, 9/5, and 9/6. Additionally, ticket is not valid for Scarywood. Ticket will expire on 9/27/26.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-Check out this supplementary ACTIVITY PACKET provided by Silverwood! It is NOT mandatory (and has no bearing on whether or not your student qualifies for a ticket). It provides complimentary, themed activities that parents may be interested in utilizing!
-Please do not email the completed reading logs to your student's homeroom teacher. Return to this Google form and upload it below.
- Silverwood can only reward one ticket to each participating student (even if they complete more than the required minutes).
- Only students registered in Braintree Academy in grades K-6 are eligible to participate.
- Tickets cannot be used for group events or school outings.
- Tickets are not for resale and are non-transferable. They may only be used by the individual who earned them.
