Join author Valerie Marsh and Miss Liz the Science Wiz for Shamrock Physics, an interactive program that blends storytelling, creativity, and hands-on science exploration. The event begins with a quick introduction to fiction and non-fiction, followed by an original shamrock story that students will help retell while creating their own paper shamrocks.

Through playful experiments and guided activities, students will explore key science concepts including force, gravity, friction, push and pull, and Newton’s First Law of Motion. Using their shamrocks, students will make predictions, test different levels of force, create gliding shamrocks, and even build a shamrock “zip line” to experiment with motion and incline.

The program wraps up with a review of science vocabulary and encourages students to continue experimenting at home while retelling their shamrock story.

Suggested Supplies:

• Pencil

• Green paper

• Paper clip

• String

• Scissors (younger students may have shamrocks pre-cut if preferred)
